Couples really well with the extension cable so that they battery can be removed from the strap and stored in a rear pocket allowing for the cycle helmet to maintain it's proper fit. 5After using a compact head torches for years and thinking these were good i was absolutely blown away when my friend said this is what you call a head torch !
That was it ! A LED LENSER H14.2r was purchased that same evening.
What a piece of brilliance it is . I wasn’t a fan of a bulky battery at the back of the head but this torch is so good you don’t notice it , not only that the battery can be clipped to a belt via the extension lead . It really is a phenomenal head torch . If in doubt buy one and you just won’t be disappointed. The beam will light up any situation with the low beam or the high power beam . The settings are easy to understand.
The led at the back of the head torch is also a charging indicator.
There is only one fault , and that is the red LED on the battery pack switches on and could drain the battery. I’ve got over this by disconnecting the battery from the charge pack .

2Only had headtorch for a few weeks and already lost some functionality.
Very bright but large and heavy battery pack. Red safety light poor.

5I find the charger lead short, it could have 250/300mm longer.
Also the weather seal on the USB port does not fit very well and rain could get in if the unit is worn on the head.
The unit is well made and works very well.

5It is slightly on the heavy side and took a bit of getting use to. The out put is amazing. I use it for trail running and there is always enough light for a couple of us to run with it. 5This is my-4th Led Lenser I have owned in 25 years and they keep improving them enormously! Unfortunately the last one the charging lead wouldn't fit the plugin port, too loose, tho' I have now found a replacement online so now have two!!
As I am a heating engineer I use it for everyday use, often on for 8 hours continuously and very rarely needs charging 'til I return home to be charged overnight.
I am very pleased with this head torch and highly recommend it!

5I was recommended this torch by both my dad and my uncle. Where i live there’s no street lights so doing anything and seeing what you’re doing in winter is impossible. Not anymore! What a torch this is. Good battery life, great distance is lit up and fully adjustable. Would buy another. Alan

Multiple battery options along with rechargeable and micro USB charging cable, interchangeable with so many devices and once less cable to remember on travels. Great warranty which I have only recently required for one of them, in year 5! I BEMOAN THE DISCONTINUATION, the replacement H15R now has a bespoke attachment cable, other end USB C, batteries are not interchangeable. D Ian
