2Got this torch for electrical work and farming, battery pack only lasts for about 4.5 hrs, a bit pricey for replacement battery pack from £12-£22, plus battery needs at least 6hrs charging. David

5I previously had a SE03 Ledlenser which I regularly used in Africa. A very versatile and powerful torch. Unfortunately the little plastic catch that holds the battery hatch closed, snapped off, making it useless. I bought a SEO 7R replacement as it is just as flexible, more powerful and is rechargeable, making it a more useful torch in Africa. I notice that it has the same little plastic catch for keeping the battery door secure. I just hope this one does not snap off.Phill Judd

4Great torch - battery runs out because it auto adjusts to max light setting. I am using it for running. Both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries only last 1.5-2h which is rubbish. And when they run out the torch typically switches off. So I set the torch to the dimmest setting (seem to be 3 white light levels for me, not 2 as in the instructions), and it auto adjusts back to the brightest setting most of the time - once it remained on the dim setting which was great as then the battery lasted longer.
Maybe I have a faulty torch (bought around March 2018) or maybe I am missing something from the instructions - I don't think they mention battery running out.Nigel Aston

3This is an excellent head torch, badly let down by a tiny, non-standard rechargeable battery, the lack of information and/or instructions and the most awful, impractical and annoying packaging I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

5The head torch is built very well and functions as advertised. The switching from white light to red light, once understood is easy enough to repeat, although operating with thick work gloves will not work - really need surgeon type gloves or bare hands to operate the function button to be honest.
Had various head torches in past, this one is the best for the money and does not require a large battery pack in addition, as you get with some more expensive models. This unit fits the bill for the applications I've used it for very well; a) garage based activities b) campaign c) working on cars/bikes. Definite recommendation to others. PS I don't submit these feed backs generally. jonathan christie

But boy, I first came across LED Torch in the search for a good hand torch and discovered just how good they are, and then discovered that this technology was available in a headtorch at a price. The brightness and useability of this torch is excellent, and in terms of lumens I have to say they leave my other torches in the dark! Well-engineered with incredible reach, these can turn a walk through a forest a night into a walk in the park! Expensive yes, but worth every penny.Cole
